What’s in your Wallet?

Bonjour! This is the first of (hopefully) many blog posts I will be writing while I study abroad in France for the next five months! So to kick this off: featured above is the Zoppen travel wallet in Olive green that I bought on Amazon for only 13 dollars + shipping!! This travel wallet comes equipped with a passport pocket, pen slot, id slot, three slots for credit cards, a zip pouch for change, a place for your phone AND plane tickets and last but not least, a small pocket for your ~international~ sim card. In these past five days in France, this travel wallet has become the best boyfriend I have ever had and I think I may just make our love FBO (facebook official).

So ladies and gentlemen, if you are traveling in the near future and are on the hunt for a travel wallet, hop onto a computer and check out what Amazon has to offer– I promise you’ll thank me if you do.

Throwin’ Shade

What’s better than a pair of $17 knock-off Ray-ban sunglasses? Nothing. I got these babies at Urban Outfitters, for yes only $17 dollars. Over the years I have become somewhat of a sunglass collector/hoarder but these are, by far, my favorite pair. The Ray-ban version go for a whopping $175, so If you’re trying to get the best bang for your buck, I would highly suggest you pop over to your local urban and check out the sunglass section. If you’re all about saving money, my best advice is to walk straight to the sale section of your favorite store because sometimes you find hidden gems like these sunnies. Happy hunting my friends čÖé

PS. I would also suggest checking out your local thrift store for some funky shades as well. For the Lawrence locals– Arizona Trading Co. and Wildman Vintage on Massachusetts street have a killer sunglass selection.

PPS. please enjoy this special cameo from my bestie Kayla, the wonder gal.

Bangin’ Bodysuits

In honor of all things bodysuits, I decided to make a post honoring the almighty bodysuit. I am a BIG fan of bodysuits (if you can’t already tell) because they show off your curves and no bra is necessary to rock this look–can I get an amen? The one pictured above is from American Apparel and it was only $25. I have also found some really awesome bodysuits from Tobi, Target, Urban Outfitters and Forever 21 for under $30.

Who says you can’t be hot even when weather gets colder?┬áKeep a bodysuit in your closet for every season, you know I will. So go on ladies, take on the town in your body suit and keep turning those heads.

Making Waves at Madwell

This past weekend while celebrating Memorial Day, I decided to indulge in some guilty pleasure shopping by hitting some shops in Buckhead, Georgia. I found this incredible fringe clutch for only 40$ at Madewell! (if you’ve ever been to Madewell, you’ll know this is a great deal) Upon going in, I headed directly to the sale section because if you haven’t realized by now I’m all about getting the “bang” for my “buck”, and to my surprise they were having a 30% off sale items! So I snagged this cutie bag and the mustard scarf for a steal! Also PSA: If you’re a student you can show your student id at the register and get an extra 15 percent discount off of your purchases!

Ladies, Gentlemen, Sale lovers, broke college kids, this is my advice to you: Never underestimate the sale section of an any store, whether its typically expensive or typically cheap, because sometimes you can find that diamond in the rough; or in my case, some bomb accessories.

Strappy Backs and Spade Tattoos

While at the beach this past week, I got to sport my 15 dollar bathing suit top from the oh so underrated target whilst looking fabulous at the same time. I paired it with double french braids to let everyone know I was rugged and meant business but also to showcase my fun and flirty back. Thanks to this affordable steal, I also had extra cash to buy the most incredible hamburger I have ever tasted (thank you target for not taking all my money). **Major key: Spend less money so you can eat more food.

This style of suit is comparable to brands such as free people or urban outfitters BUT I promise you don’t have to spend 45 dollars to look this cute. Now go out ladies, get your new bathing suits to match your sun kissed skin!

Museum Madness

Over the long winter break I ventured┬áback home to the wonderful Atlanta, Georgia. While there, I visited the High Museum of Art in Atlanta. I was lucky enough to be┬áthere as the┬áfeatured fashion exhibit from the Dutch designer, Iris Van Herpen, was in full swing. She defies the laws of fashion in all of her designs and continues to redefine fashion as we know it. In her Crystallization Collection, she literally created a dress to capture the essence of water moving…it’s insane.┬á┬áDefying fashion in my own way, my entire ensemble pictured above is under 65$. Maddening right? Well, these pieces were all bought at Forever 21, which is one of my favorite places for affordable clothing. Next time you pop in at a trendy museum, try looking at Forever 21 first!

Iris Van Herpen is a world renowned designer and if you want to learn more about her, check it out here:

Floppy, Felt, and Fabulous

It’s time to start putting our our thinking caps now that finals are approaching! Thank goodness we can be stylish while doing it too. Modeled by the lovely emily, this brown felt floppy hat was found at American Threads for 30 dollars! Hats are a great way to spice up your wardrobe without going over the top but still show personal flare. The fun thing about this hat is that it can be worn in virtually any season. I’ve paired it with a sundress and sandals in the summer but also it can be worn with your favorite sweater this winter. Hats off or should I say hats on to American Threads.
